Hi, my name is Shehar Jafri and I joined Bishop Ullathorne in Sept 2022. I have a background in psychology. After university, I then spent several years doing research and interventions in schools and worked with children of all ages. I became a teaching assistant because I enjoyed the time spent working with children and doing interventions with them in schools. I work mostly with Year 7 and 8 pupils providing them with in-class support as well as doing one-one-one interventions to support them with their learning.  I love working with our SEN students and find my work as a TA incredibly rewarding especially when students can find strategies that work for them and help them with their learning and their participation in school life. I also run the Knitting and Crochet Club and the Mindfulness Colouring lunch clubs at school.

I love animals and am passionate about reading (and books) and creative writing. I enjoy knitting, learning to crochet and gardening. I also like going on long runs (whatever the weather)!
