In the past year, here are just some of the opportunities our students have made the most of:  

  • having Warwick University on our doorstep, participating in lectures about The Great Gatsby, IntoUniversity Buddy Programme, Electron Microscope workshops and more

  • trips to Paris, France and Barcelona, Spain where students are immersed in the culture and language

  • History trip to Ypres, Belgium to learn more about the trenches of World War 1

  • Duke of Edinburgh expeditions which involve navigating and hiking, setting up camp and making their own meals

  • visits to art and textiles galleries in Birmingham and London

  • Holy Cross Feast Day at Coventry Cathedral

  • sports events in dodgeball, wheelchair tennis, sessions at Leamington Tennis Court Club and supporting our MAC primary schools with their Sports Days

  • dry ski slope training in preparation for the ski tip to Saalbach, Austria

  • Councillor Tucker visit to talk to students about getting involved in local politics and his role as a councillor 

  • visits to theatres to see plays including A Christmas Carol and Woman in Black

  • residential retreats to Soli Centre at Alton Castle and Briars Catholic Youth Retreat Centre

  • Warwickshire Schools Book Club Awards at Shire Hall, Warwick 

  • visit to the Houses of Parliament 

  • Geography field studies to Dol Y Moch, Wales, Stratford, London and Dovedale, Derbyshire

  • university visits including De Montfort University and Warwick University 

  • speaking at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens as part of the Force for Nature Exhibition
