Students: please click this link to access Our Eco School Sharepoint page to find out more about the activities and events you can get involved with throughout the year.

Not only will you meet people from different year groups, you will also learn new skills, have a whole lot of fun and, most importantly, do your part to make our world a better place.

We are proud to have held an Eco Schools Green Flag with Distinction since 2021 and work hard to renew it each year. During this time we have made a significant difference to our school environment. Just a small amount of what we have achieved includes:

  • Recycling bags in every classroom for paper, card, plastic bottles, aluminium cans, juice cartons

  • Areas to support biodiversity on our school grounds including bug hotels, bird houses, bird feeders, and our duck house in our pond

  • Our Clothes Swap event to prevent clothes, shoes and uniform for our school and our feeder primaries ending up in landfill

  • More trees and flowers planted on our school grounds

  • Creating a 'no idling' policy for visitors and busses to reduce emissions

  • Recycling for items that are more difficult to recycle including batteries, pens and crisp packets

  • A charity recycling clothes bank for the local community to use

Below is our Eco Code which was created by our students and is our promise to protect our planet
