It is never too early to begin thinking and researching higher education and the various career pathways. The Sixth Form Team and Mrs Bellingham are available throughout the week to discuss choices and options and to provide support at every stage, whether this be Higher Education or an Apprenticeship.
A key element of our work with students is supporting applications to Higher Education through UCAS. Parents and Students will be introduced to the application process in the Summer Term of Year 12. Every student will receive a Bishop Ullathorne Student Guide to UCAS handbook. As well as this, bespoke resources are provided to help students write their personal statement.
From the outset in Year 12, students will be advised as to the type of enrichment they should be embarking on to support their chosen pathway and future interests.
In the Summer Term of Year 12, students will have time allocated off-timetable for guided sessions and preparation for their UCAS applications.
The Form Time programme from this period, up to October Half Term of Year 13 will be devoted to UCAS support with tutors providing individual guidance.
Please see our UCAS booklet below for further information, which includes information relating to the support of students making early applications to Oxford or Cambridge, and to students applying to take Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary Science.
